ABSTRACT
The framework of this article is the Navier-Stokes-Allen-Cahn system for the dynamics
of a fluid whose two phases can transform into each other. It studies traveling
waves that describe the internal structure of moving interfaces between the phases. A
general result on the existence and bifurcation of these waves is detailed for fluids with
(1) two compressible phases, (2) one incompressible and one compressible phase, (3)
two incompressible phases, and (4) associated limits in which one or both of the two
phases are almost incompressible.
